Administrators for Quiz have announced that additional clearance discounting has begun across all 40 of its UK stores. The move follows the retailer’s entry into administration on February 5, 2026, after prolonged struggles with difficult trading conditions.
The administration triggered more than 100 job losses at Quiz’s head office in Glasgow and its distribution center in Bellshill, Lanarkshire. Although the company’s online store has permanently closed, administrators from Interpath are keeping all physical locations operational while they search for a potential buyer.
Alistair McAlinden, Head of Interpath in Scotland and joint administrator, shared an optimistic update: “Since our appointment on 5 February, trading across the Quiz store portfolio has been extremely positive.” He confirmed that all 40 stores and concessions remain open to the public.
“We’d like to advise customers that we will now be commencing additional clearance discounts across all remaining stock,” McAlinden added. Shoppers can expect deeper price reductions as the team works to liquidate inventory.
Geoff Jacobs, Managing Director at Interpath and co-administrator, issued a call to interested parties. “We urge any remaining parties with an interest in acquiring the stock, store operations, or infrastructure of Quiz to contact us as soon as possible,” he said.
The push for a swift sale comes amid growing pressure to maximize value from the brand’s remaining assets. While no buyer has emerged publicly, the continued store operations suggest active negotiations may be underway.
For now, customers have a final opportunity to purchase Quiz merchandise at reduced prices. Meanwhile, employees and suppliers await further developments as the Quiz administration process unfolds.
