At the opening of the newly revamped Damiani flagship boutique at Dubai Mall, Jessica Chastain shared her admiration for the Italian jewellery house and its dedication to tradition and family values. As a global brand ambassador for Damiani since April 2024, the American actress was the guest of honour at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Chastain, wearing a tailored red trouser suit paired with white diamond Damiani jewellery, joined Guido Damiani, the CEO, and Silvia Damiani, the creative director, in celebrating the opening. Chastain expressed her connection to the brand, saying, “The focus on family is the thing I first noticed. It is modern, glamorous, and playful, but also embraces that Italian traditional family history.”
Damiani’s Artistic Craftsmanship and Family Legacy
Chastain’s appreciation for Damiani’s craftsmanship stems from the company’s technical expertise and its strong family-led approach. She highlighted the importance of savoir-faire in the jewellery-making process, emphasizing that it’s not only about the destination but the journey of creating such fine pieces. “It’s how you get this done,” Chastain said.
Chastain’s Connection to Jewellery
Chastain, known for her vibrant style, shared her love for colourful jewellery, particularly sapphires, which she feels have a powerful energy. While she loves diamonds, she noted that Damiani’s designs, which allow colours to shine, feel more considered and emotional. “It’s an emotional expression like a painting which I get to feel part of,” she explained.
Ode All’Italia Collection
The event also introduced Damiani’s Ode All’Italia high jewellery collection to the region. The collection, designed by Silvia Damiani, features rare gems such as alexandrite, known for its colour-shifting qualities, and was historically favored by Russian Tsar Alexander II. The collection showcases the artisanship of Damiani’s workshops, celebrating their Italian craftsmanship.
Boutique Redesign and Atmosphere
The Dubai Mall boutique, originally opened in 2008, was remodeled to reflect Damiani’s new global aesthetic. The redesigned space, spanning 580 square meters, features amber-glass chandeliers, velvet furniture, and cream silks in display cabinets, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere with a palette of almond, camel, and antique gold.

Chastain’s career began in 1998 on stage in Romeo and Juliet, and since then, she has been acclaimed for roles in films like Zero Dark Thirty and Molly’s Game. In 2022, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Tammy Faye Bakker in The Eyes of Tammy Faye.
